Elkton Juneteenth is a community event created by Wright’s AME Church with the
support of the Elkton Colored School Museum & Cultural Center to honor and
celebrate the history of African Americans in Elkton and its surrounds.
The Community Celebration invites attendees to explore and experience
performances, educational activities, historical exhibits, food, community
organization resources, and local vendors at their own pace. There are new
Roots of Resilience Exhibit panels, and Cecil County Historical Society will
reveal its 2026 Passbook featuring African American history. We gather to raise
the Juneteenth flag at the Elkton Community Center at 10:45am to open the
celebration. 121 Stockton St., Elkton MD 21921. Free event. SPECIAL GUEST: LADY BRION -MARYLAND POET LAUREATE
